We are the most established and trusted dental practice, in the South Bay area, having served residents of San Diego, since the late 70s. We are in the 3rd line of ownership, having served 3rd generation of patients, sometimes from the same family. We serve children as well as adults, some of whom might need sedation services and pride ourselves in staying ahead with technology as well as our quality of care. We are a one stop solution for everything from exams and cleanings to cosmetic makeovers and full mouth rehabilitation which means that you do not have to visit multiple specialists/offices, to address your dental needs.

Patients who have had full mouth rehabilitation continue to come to our location, even if they have moved from the area. All the technology, needed, to provide an optimal result, are all in-house, here, at our facility. Our doctors (General Dentist and Specialists) all have a wealth of experience and have performed some of the most challenging of cases. Sedation dentistry also referred to as "sleep dentistry" helps relax patients by medications during dental procedures. Patients are usually awake except for those who are under general anesthesia.
Invisalign is a thin clear aligner used in orthodontic treatment. It is a recent treatment at Bonita Family Dental that uses a computer-generated mold to correctly align the teeth.
Restoration after the endodontic treatment reduces the risk of failure of a root canal-treated tooth. A well-executed restoration will return the tooth to form and protects the tooth from future breakdown.
CEREC® method saves time and gives better results by taking advantage of the advanced technology to restore the patient’s teeth with a crown, inlay, or onlay. CEREC® is usually made up of strong ceramic.
Bonita Family Dental offers metal-free fillings that protect your oral health and overall well-being at the same time. With advancements in dental material and technology, metal-free fillings are becoming the go-to solution in cosmetic dentistry.
Implant placement is an important phase of dental implant treatment in Bonita Family Dental. In this phase, the dentist places the restoration by making incisions in the soft gum tissues. This may be completed in a single visit.

Dr. Sandhya Hegde
Dr. Hegde has been practicing in San Diego since she graduated from the acclaimed Loma Linda University in 2000. She was also awarded the prestigious fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2009. Committed to learning, Dr. Hegde has undergone specialized training in implant, cosmetic, and sedation dentistry, Invisalign, and orthodontics. Her passion for excellence in dentistry, utmost care, empathy for patients, and painless techniques make her a phenomenal dentist.
